‘Blockchain Templates’ Launched by Amazon Web Services for Ethereum and Hyperledger

0

Developing blockchain-based solutions and decentralized applications (DApps) will no more be a mammoth task to achieve as Amazon Web Services, the cloud computing arm of amazon.com, has announced the launch of new blockchain frameworks for Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum.

The AWS blog post shows that using the AWS Cloud Formation Templates tool, users will now be able to create their own Blockchain applications and avoid the time-consuming manual process of setup for their blockchain network.

AWS, in its blog post, has mentioned that its blockchain template tolls can be used in multiple applications like financial services, supply-chain management, property records and many others. AWS chief evangelist Jeff Barr wrote that these templates will allow clients to “launch an ethereum (either public or private) or Hyperledger Fabric (private) network in a matter of minutes and with just a few clicks.”

He further added: “The templates create and configure all of the AWS resources needed to get you going in a robust and scalable fashion.”

In order to promote its blockchain templates and tools, AWS has joined hands with some popular organizations in the blockchain space like Quorum, PokiDot, Corda R3 and Sawtooth. These startups are working on developing applications for supply chain integrity, auto-adjudication, identity resolution and others. Korda is said to be one of the first blockchain platforms on AWS and allows users to create distributed apps on the AWS platform.

Last year, Scott Mullins, AWS’s head of worldwide financial services business development announced that company has been actively working and investing in the blockchain space, especially developing solutions for institutional adoption.

Mullins said:

“Today in financial services, distributed ledger technology is at the forefront of any discussion related to innovation. AWS is working with financial institutions and blockchain providers to spur innovation and facilitate friction less experimentation”
